Effect of Plant Spacing on the Growth and Yield of Rainfed Rice (Oryza Sativa) in the Bimodal Rain Forest Zone of Cameroon

A study was carried out on plant density at the experimental field of Institute Agricultural Research for Development (IRAD) Nkolbisson, Yaoundé to determine appropriate spacing improve rainfed rice production in bimodal rainfall forest zone Cameroon. The experiment conducted during main cropping seasons 2017 and 2018. planting used were 15cm x 15cm, 20cm 20cm, 25cm 30cm giving populations 444444, 250000, 160,000 111,111 plants / ha respectively using two varieties (Nerica 3 Nerica 8). laid a randomized complete block design with three replications.
